The Historical Resources Development Program is established in the Code of Iowa, Chapter 303.16. Administrative rules for the program are found in Iowa Administrative Code 223-49. The following items apply to all projects funded through the Historical Resources Development Program.
The Resource Enhancement and Protection/Historical Resource Development Program (REAP/HRDP) is funded by the Resource Enhancement and Protection Act (REAP). The purpose of the REAP/HRDP Grants Program is to provide funds to preserve, conserve, interpret, enhance, and educate the public about the historical resources of Iowa.
The State Historical Society of Iowa is accepting applications for the FY2016 Historical Resource Development Program (HRDP) grant program through April 30, 2015. Applications for the HRDP grants must be submitted at www.iowagrants.gov/index.do by 11:59 p.m. on April 30, 2015. In addition, two signed originals of the contract and the owner signature page, if applicable, must be postmarked by April 30, 2015, or hand-delivered by 4:30 p.m. on April 30, 2015, to the following address:
