Lecture about Tuskegee Airmen in World War II canceled

African American Museum of Iowa lecture series at WHTC

(COUNCIL BLUFFS) – The Western Historic Trails Center announced today that Sunday’s lecture about Tuskegee Airmen who fought in World War II has been canceled.

The lecture had been scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009, at WHTC. It was part of the African American Museum of Iowa’s “Experiencing Black Iowa” lecture series, which is designed to engage southwestern Iowa in the heritage of African American history in Iowa.

Supported by the Iowa West Foundation, the lecture series covers several topics such as agriculture, athletics and military. No additional information about rescheduling Sunday’s lecture is available.
