(DES MOINES) – The State Historical Society of Iowa will host the 5th Annual Chili for Charity 5-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, at the State Historical Building, 600 E. Locust Street in Des Moines.
For a $5 donation, guests receive a bowl of chili with toppings, a piece of cornbread, dessert and drink. A vegetarian chili option will also be available for the same price. Additional soda and water will be for sale for $1. All proceeds benefit the Food Bank of Iowa.
Chili service and seating will be located outdoors under the Locust Street portico on the south side the State Historical Building. Chili for Charity is held in conjunction with the East Village Holiday Promenade.
