Docent tours serve deaf community and their families, friends
(DES MOINES) – The State Historical Museum will offer free docent sign language tours for the deaf community and their families and friends Sunday.
Sponsored by the Des Moines Host Lions Foundation, the tours will be Sunday at the State Historical Museum, 600 E. Locust Street in Des Moines. Museum staff and volunteers will lead the tours and Deaf Action Services will provide sign language interpreters.

In addition, crafts and art projects will be available 1-4 p.m. for individuals of all ages. Volunteers will assist with craft activities. The tours are free and reservations are not required. Call 515-281-5111 for more information.
