5:30 p.m.: Campfire, Coffee and Conversation
Pull on your boots and jeans and come spend some time around a "real"
indoor campfire listening to stories of pioneers, cowboys, Native American and
the West. Have a cup of coffee and visit with historians, storytellers, and musicians.
This month DNR/Americorp worker, Chris Ullrich will be here to talk about nature.

An afternoon acoustic jam complete with home-baked bread. Bring your instrument
and play along or just come to listen.

p.m.: The Early History of Council Bluffs
Mary Lou McGinn and Kathy Meldrum will present a program on the early history
of Council Bluffs based on the lives and livelihoods of some of the city's early
settlers buried in historic Fairview Cemetery. A slide presentation will feature
the cemetery as well as the historical homes of these citizens. Sponsored by the
Pottawattamie County Historical Society and Western Historic Trails Center.
