Save the date for the Battle Flag Ball!

Be the first to see seven newly preserved Iowa Civil War Battle Flags when the State Historical Society of Iowa hosts “The Battle Flag Ball” fundraiser on February 17, 2006.

Governor Thomas J. Vilsack will be our featured speaker as we celebrate these important pieces of Iowa history. The evening’s event includes cocktails, dinner, dancing and a program that will give you an opportunity to see the flags before they are officially unveiled in a brand new exhibit at the State Historical Museum.
