MOINES) – The State Historical Society of Iowa is taking applications from Iowans interested in serving on the Iowa Civil War Sesquicentennial Advisory Committee.

Committee members will assist SHSI as it plans, coordinates, and implements activities and programs relating to the commemoration of Iowa’s involvement in the American Civil War. Selected members will represent diverse interests and backgrounds to ensure the widest representation of Civil War interests.
The State Historical Society of Iowa is a division of the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs, and is a trustee of Iowa's historical legacy and an advocate for understanding Iowa's past.
