Certified Local Government Program Manual

The CLG manual (see below for Table of Contents with links to some forms) contains three parts. Part I is an informal introduction to the Certified Local Governments Program, generally referred to as "CLG", The section discusses what a local preservation program is and how these programs operate in Iowa. Part II explains how a local government applies for CLG status and outlines the application process. A sample application packet is present at the end of Part II. Part III covers what a local government does as a participant in the CLG program.

In Iowa, the State Historical Society of Iowa administers the CLG program.
