BATTLE FLAG POSTER
This was the 1st product developed for the project. It measures 18 x 24, and is printed in full color and is suitable for framing. The poster includes images of 12 different flags in the collection along with a brief description of each.

IOWA BATTLE FLAG UNIT HISTORIES LAUNCHED

SHSI battle flag staff has launched the introduction of Iowa’s military “Unit Histories” beginning with the Civil War. These exciting narratives of Iowa’s fighting units are told through gripping accounts of events, soldier’s diaries and historical documents. Each unit history contains a listing of historical statistics relating to the unit.

The unit histories are highlighted with brilliant images of associated flags held in Iowa’s battle flag collection.
The unit histories for the 3rd Iowa Battery, 1st Iowa Cavalry and the 15th Iowa Infantry are now available in the Museum Shop for $5.00 each. New additions will coordinate with scheduled flag rotations.

  

Individual images of specific flags, representing the regiment of your choice can be ordered by contacting Sheila Hanke.

Each photo is printed on 8 x 10 glossy stock and ready to frame.

Perfect for reenactors, historians or ancestors of veterans, Special requests for publication are available.
