Edward Bebb was born April 28, 1838, in Butler County, Ohio.
The Bebb family moved to Iowa in 1851 when Edward was a child and settled as farmers in Jasper County.
After the Civil War he returned to Jasper County to resume farming and in 1866 married Mary A. Hungerford. They had 6 children and remained in Iowa until 1889. They moved to Nebraska and then, in 1894, to Missouri.
In 1899 they returned to Jasper County and resided there until his death at the Iowa Soldiers Home in Marshalltown July 12, 1916.
He is buried in New Salem Cemetery, Lynnville, Iowa.
